We are excited to announce ART IN MOVEMENT – a unique one-afternoon workshop with Gustavo Ollitta and Lucero Ponce (…coming directly from a series of workshops in Israel and stopping briefly in Vienna before returning to South America).
Open to all levels, this workshop delves into Manipulation Techniques – an exploration of the beautiful patterns and dynamic geometries that can be created using simple instruments like the Hula Hoop and Buugeng (the S-staff).
Every hour, you will be introduced to new Manipulation Techniques, turning the Buugeng (from the Japanese ‘Buu’ = optical illusion, ‘geng’ = martial arts) to create visual and kaleidoscopic effects through a combination of dance and martial art movements. As well, you will learn to move with the Hula Hoop to generate circular energy patterns through the inner body and out of the body. Progressing to Partner Techniques, you will work with another participant to create synchronized and harmonious movements as a couple.
For those who don’t have their own Buugeng or Hula Hoop – no worries!! We provide extra equipment for the workshop! From jugglers and dancers to visionary artists and yogis – all are welcome… to immerse themselves into the world of Flow arts. Places and equipment are limited, so please register as soon as possible!
