“The breathtaking atmosphere of the Viennese Karlskriche underscores the symbolic effect of classical concerts. Music is held here, which is both heard and heard
also must have seen.
A unique interpretation of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart REQUIEM D minor KV 626 (in the supplement of F.X.Süssmayr).
The 1756 orchestra plays on original instruments and forms a perfect symbiosis with the choruses of Cantus XVII. See for yourself.

In the early summer of 1791 Mozart received an order from a unknown “”gray messenger”” to compile a requiem.

This death fair was to be Mozart’s last composition. And became one of his most impressive and well-known works. Numerous legends and myths revolve around the Requiem – so Mozart will still have accepted the moving “”lacrimosa”” on his deathbed with friends.

Just a few hundred meters from Mozart’s death site, the majestic KARLSKIRCHE, one of the most impressive and important buildings in Vienna, sits majestically. We will be presenting the REQUIEM on the Saturdays of 2006 on Saturdays.

Performers are the Heinrich Biber Choir and the Orchestra 1756, which plays on so-called “”historical instruments””. More than 40 musicians form a performance, which corresponds to the Mozart period in the composition, ambience and sound of the first performance. The Saturday performance of the Requiem in the Karlskirche has become a fixed tradition of Viennese musical life.

Mozart can hardly be experienced in Austria with Mozart’s authentic, profound and “”real”” character.
